A fundraiser has been set up to help pay legal fees of the dog owners who intend to fight to keep their pets. If you would like to donate, the dog owners would appreciate it.

When you're a little girl just along for the ride, sometimes "Waiting is not Easy!"   Nova Feltis visited the Vinton Public Library with mom this week and just couldn't wait to get home to read her library books.

This year the Iowa State Fair hosted 213 youth from 63 counties to participate in the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Skillathons for dairy, meat goat, sheep and swine.

This last Memorial Day, while taking down the many flags at the area cemeteries, the Legion members found 20-40 flags that were faded, frayed or torn and that needed to be disposed of.

In March, students of the Vinton-Shellsburg Agriculture I classes were challenged to select a country around the world and a problem that was creating hunger problems within that country; and create solutions to combat food insecurity.
