When you're a little girl just along for the ride, sometimes "Waiting is not Easy!"   Nova Feltis visited the Vinton Public Library with mom this week and just couldn't wait to get home to read her library books.

Vinton Lions help to replace tattered flags

This last Memorial Day, while taking down the many flags at the area cemeteries, the Legion members found 20-40 flags that were faded, frayed or torn and that needed to be disposed of.

Vinton-Shellsburg Agriculture Students Combat World Hunger

In March, students of the Vinton-Shellsburg Agriculture I classes were challenged to select a country around the world and a problem that was creating hunger problems within that country; and create solutions to combat food insecurity.
