Upwards of 30 artists from across the country will gather in Vinton during the middle of August as part of the sesquicentennial celebration. The artists, which are part of a larger group known as the Walldogs, will return to Vinton to give our mural history a fresh coat of paint and add new murals as well.

Santa Arrived with the Holiday Parade and kids of all ages were glad to see him, from the sheriff on down to the tiniest of tots! Santa took some time out of his busy schedule to visit with the children inside the courthouse following the parade.

Community shows support for the family of Tamie Matheny

This week we lost a member of Benton County. Tamie Matheny, a NRP (Nationally Registered Paramedic with a Critical Care Endorsement) who worked over 10 years with the Van Horne First Responders, was lost in an accident this past week.
