Heavy Rains close area River Parks

According to Benton County Conservation, because of the heavy rains and ongoing flooding all of our river parks will be closed until further notice. This includes Wildcat Bluff, Hoefle-Dulin, Benton City, Winegar Lake Area, Minne Estema Park, and Milroy Access.

GOVS cup fund-raiser under way at JQS

The partnership between John's Qwik Stop and Vinton-Shellsburg schools continues with the annual GOVS cup refill fund-raiser. For $20, residents can purchase a cup and can have free refills on coffee and soft drinks through Christmas of this year.
