Myra Malinda (Noe) Klopping

Myra Malinda (Noe) Klopping, age 93, passed away peacefully at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab on Sunday, March 9, 2025, with her family by her side.Visitation will be held Sunday, March 16 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton.  Funeral services will be held at the same location Monday, March 17 at 10:00 AM.

Katie Kay Walters

Surrounded by her loving family, Katie Kay Walters, 53, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, Keystone, following a lengthy illness. Per Katie’s wishes, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Katie’s family.Katie was born October 20, 1971, in Muscatine, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Beason) Axtell.

James "Jim" Eugene Chalmers

James "Jim" Eugene Chalmers, passed away peacefully at his home in Elkmont, Alabama on March 1, 2025.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, March 15, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton, Iowa with Pastor Kip McGee officiating.  Friends may register from 10 AM until service time. Burial will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery near Brandon.

Thomas Glen Janss, 73, of Keystone, Iowa, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2025, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 14th, 2025, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 306 Second St. E, Newhall, IA 52315, with Rev. Nick Palmer officiating. Interment will be held following the service at St.

Tamara “Tammy” Kaiser

Tamara “Tammy” Kaiser, 61, Holts Summit, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at home. She was born Sunday, February 2, 1964 in Jefferson City a daughter of the late Larry and Betty (Schubert) Marcum. She was a 1982 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was united in marriage to Tim Kaiser who survives at their home.  Tammy was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church in Holts Summit, where she spent many years volunteering as a Sunday school teacher.

Faye L. (Franzenburg) Nolan

Faye L. (Franzenburg) Nolan, age 87, passed away peacefully at the Keystone Nursing Care Center on the evening of Friday, March 7, 2025.Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10:30 AMat Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne with Father Jacob Dunne as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m.

Doug Johnson

Doug Johnson, 68, of Alden, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Mary Greely Medical Center in Ames. A Celebration of Life will be held from 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.Doug was born on June 21, 1956, in Webster City, Iowa, to Howard and Shirley (Reinsel) Johnson. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton High School and dedicated much of his life to his work, family, and passions.

David Wayne Felker

    David Wayne Felker, 70, passed away peacefully after an extended illness with his family by his side in a Pensacola hospital on February 27, 2025.     David was born to Donald and Joann (Kisling) Felker on February 2, 1955, in Vinton Iowa.  He grew up on the family farm just outside of Urbana Iowa.     He graduated from Urbana High School in 1973.

Raymond Wittenburg

Raymond Wittenburg, age 71, of rural Marengo passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown, with Rev. Jeff Schanbacher officiating.  Interment will be held following the service at Mound Cemetery in Watkins.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM also at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown.

Arthur Hugo Schulte

Arthur Hugo Schulte, 88, of Watkins, IA passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Art was born on April 19, 1936, the only son of Arthur and Hilda (Arp) Schulte. He graduated from Norway High School in 1953. Art was united in marriage to Karen Boddicker at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Norway on January 10, 1957.
