Grant Wessling, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, with his loving family by his side. Private Family Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall, with Rev. Nick Palmer and Rev. Steven Rempfer officiating. Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery, Newhall. Helen Louise (Hennies) Folkmann, 101, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024 at Keystone Nursing Care Center. She was surrounded by loving family and compassionate caregivers during her last days and at the time of her passing.The family will hold a visitation on Sunday, August 11 from 2-5 pm at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone, Iowa. On August 3, 2024, Joseph “Joe” Lee Meyne left his family to be with his Lord and Savior. He passed at Harmony House in Waterloo, of a sudden illness. A private burial and military service will take place at Artesian Cemetery at a later date. Wayne "Butch" Edwin Kuhnle was born May 22, 1940, in Marengo, Iowa, the twin son of Edwin H. and Selma C. Conrad Kuhnle. He attended Ladora Schools. On May 4, 1963, he wed Karen Sue Campbell at St. James Lutheran Church in Victor, Iowa. They were blessed with two daughters, Connie and Kristin.Wayne joined the U.S. Army in 1963, based out of Ft. Rosemary “Rosie” Jean (Flickinger) Boisen, 79, passed away on July 31, 2024 at Virginia Gay Hospital following a lengthy illness. Visitation will be from 2-6 PM, Sunday, August 11, 2024, followed by a brief memorial service at Phillips Funeral Home (212 E 6th St.) in Vinton. A private family interment will take place at a late date.
