Jerry Lee Usher, 81, passed away at his residence Wednesday, September 20, 2023, following a brief illness. Private family services will be held. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Jerry and his family.Jerry was born April 2, 1942, in Center Point, the son of Levitt “Ted” and Lola Mae (Johnson) Usher. “Nene” Ronda Lee (Burkey) Walker, formerly of Vinton, died peacefully in her sleep on September 14, 2023 at the St. Lukes Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed peacefully while her family tackled unusually heavy and crazy traffic trying to get to her in time, however in true Ronda fashion, she slipped away quickly to save her family the additional pain of seeing her go. John “Jay” Cecil Frimml Jr., 49, of North Liberty, formerly of Blairstown, IA passed away September 10, 2023, in Iowa City, IA.John was born September 9, 1974, in Marengo, IA to John Cecil Sr. and Susan (Newton) Frimml. He graduated from Benton High School, class of 1992. Following school, Jay enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corps. Upon return of his first service overseas, he was stationed in California where he met Kimberly Thomas.
