Tommy James Thomas was tragically taken away on April 2nd, 2024 due to injuries received from a motor vehicle accident. Tommy was born to Robert and Donna Thomas on August 31st, 1971 in Monticello, Iowa.Tommy received his HVAC degree at Kirkwood Community College. Tommy worked a variety of jobs. Darlene W. Monroe, 92, of Traer and formerly of Dysart, passed away on April 6, 2024. The funeral will be on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart. The burial will follow in Dysart Cemetery. The visitation will be on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton, with Chaplain Brian Reeves officiating. Linda Kay (Van Nevel) Roggentien, 73, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Unity Point Saint Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids.Linda was born in Belle Plaine, the daughter of Andrew and Marcella (Wentland) Van Nevel. She attended rural country school. April 26, 1951 Mary married Maurice Van Hamme at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chelsea.
