On Thursday, October 19, 2023, Thomas “TJ” George Johnson, loving husband and father of two sons and two stepdaughters, passed away at the age of 74. Tom was born on August 27, 1949, in Vinton, Iowa to George and Belva (Tharp) Johnson. On September 19, 1992, he married Jane Vaske Northrup. Evelyn Katherine Simmer Stumph, 101, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at West Ridge Care Center. A private burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.Evelyn was born Sept. 24, 1922, to her parents, Iva and William Simmer on the family farm in Atkins, Iowa.
