A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Carolyn was born on August 20, 1950, in Vinton, the daughter of John and Roberta (Bordwell) Berger and graduated from Washington High School in Vinton, with the class of 1969.

Ivan was a jack of all trades, working in different careers throughout his life. He liked to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

(Millie) Armstrong Kalish, the author of Little Heathens, passed away on
May 24th, 2023, two months after her 101st birthday. Born
on St Patrick’s Day in 1922 in Garrison, IA, Millie was raised on a
small family farm during the Great Depression. Her childhood
experiences laid the foundation for her deep connection to the land
and fostered a profound appreciation for self-sufficiency and
community.
