Regis Joseph Zweigart
Regis Joseph Zweigart, 66, of Watkins, IA passed away January 19, 2024 at Heritage Specialty Care, Cedar Rapids, IA after a courageous 13-year battle with multiple sclerosis. Regis was born August 28, 1957 to Walter and Helen (Schulte) Zweigart in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Benton Community High School, class of 1975. He then continued his education, earning an AAS Degree in Ag Diesel from Kirkwood Community College; while helping his dad on the family farm. Gene Yeries
Gene Yeries, 70, of Norway, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with a terminal illness.Gene was born March 5, 1953 to Leo and Mary Yeries in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was the youngest of 2 children. He graduated from Norway High School in 1971. After high school, he attended mechanic school and proceeded to work many years as both an auto mechanic, while also farming full time on his family farm. Marva Ann Hanna
Marva Ann Hanna, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 18, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday January 27, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton, with Rev. Anne Williams officiating. Bonita M. Wilson, 92, of Van Horne, Iowa, was welcomed into heaven on January 17, 2024, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center following a short illness. A private family graveside service at Salem Cemetery, Van Horne, will be held later this year. Margaret Brinkmeyer, 96, passed away on December 17, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on July 11, 1927, in Dysart, Iowa, to Howard and Bernice (Clause) Barnes. Margaret attended school in Dysart graduating from Dysart High School in 1945. She attended Cornell College and the University of Iowa graduating in 1950.
