Dan Lee Behaunek

Dan Lee Behaunek, 68, of Belle Plaine passed away on Saturday, September 30th, at his home surrounded by family.Dan was born on February 3, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Fred and Nadine Behaunek.  Growing up in the country east of Belle Plaine, he attended Buckeye Country School and then Belle Plaine schools, serving as senior class president, the 1973-74 Iowa State FFA Vice President, and the 1974-75 Iowa State FFA President.

Geraldine F. “Jerry” Rinehart Healy

Geraldine F. “Jerry” Rinehart Healy, 100, of Vinton, Iowa, died Monday, October 2, 2023, at Belle Plaine Specialty Care in Belle Plaine, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point, Iowa, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.

Lloyd J. “Dude” “Butch” Lovell

Lloyd J. “Dude” “Butch” Lovell, 75, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, with his wife, Ann and friend, Lonnie by his side.He was born May 1, 1948 in Benton County, Iowa to the late Lloyd and Barbara Lovell. He served in the United States Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. He loved fishing, woodworking, making friends and helping anyone he could.

Richard A Wilmot

Richard A Wilmot, 82, of Vinton, formerly of Clarksville, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, from complications due to Alzheimer's. A fire at the Bar Manor Condominium complex in Vinton on July 28, 2023 permanently displaced him from his home. The fire triggered rapidly increasing Alzheimer's symptoms & decline requiring 24 hour supervision.

Albert Scott Hammond

Albert Scott Hammond, 83, of Atkins, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, became a silent key KØHWE on Sept. 12, 2023.Al had many interests and pursuits during his lifetime. He had three wishes. Number one was amateur radio. Second, getting a job at Collins Radio after High School. He continued to go back to see if they had openings, and eventually, he succeeded.

Beulah Marie (Lovell) Feuerhelm

Beulah Marie (Lovell) Feuerhelm, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023, at her Vinton home with her family by her side.A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Geo G. Luckey American Legion Post (105 N. R Avenue) in Vinton.  Private, family interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.

Mary M. Coyle

Mary M. Coyle 98, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Rockwell Community Care Center, Rockwell, Iowa.A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1001 9th Ave. South, Clear Lake, with Rev. Josh Link officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Marcia Rose (Boddicker) Dircks

Marcia Rose (Boddicker) Dircks was lifted by the hands of her Lord on Monday, September 25, 2023 to join her family in heaven.Marcia was born at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 11, 1948. She was welcomed by her parents Cyril and Luella Boddicker of Newhall, Iowa. When she arrived home she was greeted by her big sister, Dorothy Lou Bodddicker.

Gladys D. Hopper

Gladys D. Hopper, 88, of Washburn, died Friday, August 11, 2023, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.She was born May 26, 1935, in Aurora, the daughter of Carl and Margaret Martin Bird. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1953. She married Keith E. Hopper on June 26, 1954, in Aurora. She worked at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo until starting a family.

Christina “Chris” JoRae (Pippert) Hendryx

Christina "Chris" JoRae (Pippert) Hendryx, age 62, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on September 26, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.A Celebration of Chris's life will be held on Monday October 2, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the American Legion Hall located at 105 North R Ave in Vinton, IA.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.
