Ridenhour-McHenry, 74, of rural Brandon, Iowa, died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at her home after a lengthy battle with heart disease.Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. to Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at White Funeral Home, Independence, Iowa. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence with military honors.Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.

The earthly journey for James A. Emerson came to a close on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Community Presbyterian Church, Cascade, Iowa, with the Rev. Wayne C. Peach officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Cascade Community Cemetery, Cascade, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.

Julia Thomsen Ary Primrose, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed onto heaven on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the age of 102 years old. Julia is now peacefully at rest, buried next to Ezra in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Eldon Bridgewater, Watkins, Iowa died peacefully November 24th, 2023. He lived a full life of 91 years and 16 days being born to Ivan and Verda (Ulmer) Bridgewater on November 8, 1932 in Hopkins, Missouri during a record breaking snow storm. He grew up on a farm in northwest MO., walking to a country school for 8 years and graduating with the class of 1950 from Hopkins High School.

Kathryn Mae Miner of Longmont, Colorado and formerly of Belle Plaine, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died on Nov. 14, 2023, at The Bridge Assisted Living in Longmont, Colorado. Kathryn was born on Nov. 3, 1939, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, to Mike and Lyda Bennet Hoover.Kathryn was a devout Christian and began teaching Sunday School when she was 11 years old.

Linda Lee Moore, 80, of La Porte City, passed away on Wednesday, November 15th at ABCM Rehabilitation Center, in Independence.Linda was born on July 19, 1943, in Waterloo, Iowa, to her parents Roy and Thelma (Goudy) Fritz. She grew up in La Porte City and after high school, she attended beauty school, where she obtained her cosmetologist license. She owned and operated Linda's Beauty Shop in La Porte City, for many years.

Floyd Leon Utsinger, 85, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Oquawka, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, at his home, where he was under hospice care with Care Initiative. Julie Ann Salyars, 66 of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family on Sunday, November 19, 2023.   Julie is survived by two daughters, Rose Schleben and Kimberly Salyars of Cedar Rapids; two grandsons Jake Bruner (Taran White) of Vinton, and Steven Andrews of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, Alysha Bruner and Jaedyn Andrews of Cedar Rapids; two great-granddaughters, Addysen Bruner and Asuna Smith of Cedar Rapids; four great-grandsons Braidyn Bruner of Cedar Rapids, Dorrance, Zander, and LeRoy Averkamp of Worthington, and three sisters, Charlene McGrath of Monroe, WI, Tina Walton of Worthington, IA, and Gail Aumiller of Dubuque, IA.

Hitchcock Hopper. Keith graduated from West Waterloo High School in 1949. He married Gladys Bird on June 26, 1954, in Aurora.
