Linda L (Parcel) Janss Eichler, 76 of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Linda was born April 20, 1947 to Edward and Betty (Holland) Parcel in Belle Plaine, IA. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School. On December 6, 1963 Linda Married Bernd (Jack Janss) Eichler. Susan Ann Griffin, 70, of Dysart, Iowa, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2023, in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, at her winter residence due to a heart attack. She was cremated as per her personal wishes. Gene Walter Herring, 90 of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at West Ridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids, IA.Gene was born Feb. 5, 1933 to Walter and Mary (Ransom) Herring in Blairstown, IA. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1951. Gene lived in and near Belle Plaine for his entire life. Weeda, 87, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, passed away Dec. 17, 2023, at Rose Haven Nursing Home following a battle with cancer.Louise was born on April 24, 1936, in Tingley, Iowa, to Ira and Mearl (Hancock) Weeda. Growing up on a farm near Tingley, she graduated from Tingley High School in 1954. In her youth, Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and was true to that choice until death.

Eugene (Gene) Clerkin, 84 passed away December 18, 2023 at Windsor Manor in Vinton following complications from a fall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 22nd at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vinton. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM also at the church. Private family services were Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at White Funeral Home, Independence, Iowa, with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. Don was born on Oct. 5, 1942, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Gerald Eugene Grace and Anna Bernice (Mahoney) Grace.
