Margaret Brinkmeyer, 96, passed away on December 17, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on July 11, 1927, in Dysart, Iowa, to Howard and Bernice (Clause) Barnes. Margaret attended school in Dysart graduating from Dysart High School in 1945. She attended Cornell College and the University of Iowa graduating in 1950. Harriet Mae Pickart, 95, of Amana, Ia., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 following a brief illness at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, Ia.Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23rd at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Norway, Ia. (Mary) Yvonne Livingston Fischer was born August 16, 1926, in Iowa City, Iowa, to W. Ross and Zella Livingston. Yvonne passed away on January 14, 2024.Yvonne graduated from the University Experimental High School in Iowa City, the University of Iowa in 1947 with a BA in Economics, and the University of Iowa in 1960 with an MA in Social Studies. Eleanor Mae Grieder, 87, of Shellsburg, IA passed away January 16, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. Eleanor was born May 27, 1936 to Carroll and Esther (Tesar) Miller in Belle Plaine. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1954. Eleanor married her high school sweetheart Richard Grieder on June 26, 1955 at Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine. Emmett J Proffitt, 75, passed away on January 13, 2024. Emmett will be buried at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in the Garden of Last Supper.Emmett was born on October 29, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, IA. He worked for several years for Collins Radio Co. until his retirement.Emmett is preceded in death by his parents, Emmons Proffitt, and Isabella Belcher.
