Vikings win at Amana Colonies

It was a beautiful day and the course looked great as the Vikings picked up a win against Clear Creek-Amana Monday shooting 170. Clear Creek Amana shot 195.

Viking golfers earn a second place trophy at Pin Oak

The Viking placed 2nd shooting 322 while 4 golfers placed in the top ten to earn themselves individual medals Saturday.  West Delaware won the meet carding a 313.

Vikettes finish 3rd at West Delaware golf invite

Berry's Lanes bowlers do well at City Tournament

On Saturday April, several bowlers from Berry Lanes received awards in the City Bowling Tournament at May City Lanes.  The bowlers had the opportunity to bowl in a 9 pin tournament before that awards that day.

Vikings card a 144 in triangular victory at Wildcat; also win at Benton

Friday night was a great day for golf as the Vikings hosted Clear Creek-Amana and Center Point-Urbana at Wildcat Golf Course.  The Vikings posted a career best 144 to win the meet, which challenges some of the best scores ever for Vinton-Shellsburg.

4 in the 40s! Vikettes reach goal in quadrangular win

The Vinton-Shellsburg girls golf team has an alliterative goal for each of its meets: 4 in the 40s. That represents four golfers with a score less than 50 and shows consistency among the individual players as well as the team.

Five Vikings medal in Waverly; team takes second

The Vikings played at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course this weekend and placed second in the team standings shooting 310. The course was in great shape and the day was beautiful with a little bit of wind.

Three Vikings at 39 in home meet win over Independence

The VS Viking golf team defeated Independence Thursday 158-171 at the Vinton County Club.  It was a beautiful afternoon on the course, but the golfers did have to take into account the wind, which was a factor on a couple holes.
