The Vikettes led 3-0 going into the halftime locker room and erupted for five goals in the second half to win the match 8-0.

 The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity volleyball program's winningest coach, Michelle Stepanek has resigned after 24 seasons (1994-2007, 2012-21) at the helm of the program. She coached the sophomores in 1992 and 1993.Stepanek coached the Vikettes to the 1999 State Volleyball Tournament and to the 2005, 2007 and 2021 Regional championship matches.
