Gorkow Joins Bankers Compliance Committee

Emily Gorkow, Loan Officer for Cedar Valley Bank & Trust, Vinton, Iowa, has been named to the Iowa Bankers Association's (IBA) Compliance Committee. Gorkow’s responsibilities as a committee member will include providing comments and feedback on state and federal regulatory initiatives, and recommending programs and products that enable banks to better manage their compliance needs.

HACAP in need of volunteers

HACAP Rural Senior Services is in great need of home delivered meal volunteers who can help get food to those who are not able to get outside of their homes. Volunteers typically volunteer from 10:45 am to 1:15 pm depending on the number of meals scheduled to be delivered anytime Monday – Friday. Benton County Transportation staff drive a bus and provide directions throughout the route.

 Fareway Stores, Inc. is partnering with Variety - the Children’s Charity to conduct the seventh annual Round Up at the register from July 3 - 22 at all 136 store locations. Customers will have the opportunity to round up to the next dollar or provide an additional donation on their grocery bill to help fund Variety’s mission. Dollars raised through the Round Up will provide mobility equipment to children living with special needs, as well as fund and deliver effective programs and grants to care for children who are underprivileged, at-risk, critically ill, or living with special needs.
