The Spruce Leaf to hold Grand Opening in LaPorte City, May 6
The Spruce Leaf located at 1279 53rd Street, La Porte City will be holding its Grand Opening on Saturday, May 6, from 10 AM – 5 PM.The Spruce Leaf offers home decor, indoor plants, outdoor flower baskets, and patio outdoor plants and jewelry. Chilangos releases new daily special menu
If you've noticed, Chilangos is making some changes to the building adding additional seating to the former Pizza Hut building. In addition, they are adding some daily specials for you to enjoy!Kids under the age of 9, eat for only $2.99 on Mondays, that might take a little strain off the budget if you want to take the whole family out!It's taco Tuesday! Secretary Naig Issues Statement on WOTUS Court Decision
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig released the following statement after the court's decision today on the new Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule:“The court’s decision to grant an injunction on the Biden Administration’s Waters of the United States rule is very welcome news for Iowa agriculture. This rule is too broad, too burdensome, too intrusive and far too costly.
Ehlinger’s Express' quick remodel, if you blinked, you missed it!
Ehlinger's Express made a huge investment on behalf of the community. In a statement, the business said that they made a $300,000 investment on behalf of its customers, and the citizens of Vinton and Benton County. On March 27th Ehlinger’s began demolition of the car wash bays, removing the gas pumps and had those shut down for around a week.The pumps have the latest technology and security features and expanded their fuel offerings to include E15 in support of Iowa’s Ag industry. April is here and so is the unpredictable weather! A Mother's TransformationVictoria decided she needed to make changes to provide a better life for her unborn child and was admitted into the Heart of Iowa residential treatment program on 3/03/2021. In the beginning, she started using Meth by way of smoking it and then, later on, became addicted to using it via IV. She also experienced some mental health issues and received assistance with managing it and she experienced domestic violence in previous relationships, including the one with her unborn child’s father.
