Certification in Beef Quality Assurance registration now open
Producers and haulers who need to renew or obtain their certification in Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) can preregister now for an in-person training in Vinton in northeastern Iowa. Offered by the Iowa Beef Center, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Iowa Beef Industry Council, the session is scheduled on Thursday, January 5, 2023.There is no cost to attend the event, which includes dinner sponsored by Benton County Cattlemen.

In a statement released on Monday, the Vinton Veterinary Clinic announced that Dr. Clyde Wilson will be retiring from the practice on December 31.The last day that Dr. Wilson will be seeing patients is December 16. Stark Strength, has opened at Kettlebell Advantage which is located at 205 3rd Street in Vinton. Owner Erin Stark is a certified kettlebell bodyweight corrective exercises instructor. She has been practicing for around five and half years. She's been in business for the last year and a half doing in home personal care. Vinton to lose local support and landmark
If you enter Vinton from the south, you can see a huge American flag flying and you know that's where John's Qwik Stop is located. Unfortunately for Vinton, things will be changing at the end of the year. John Ketchen has prided himself, and rightly so, in the ability to have been a local business that supported his community.
