You can now order vegetables from Blakely Gardens or Muschaweck Fruit and pick them up at Divine Decadents. They have a fresh produce available which include tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and much, much more. Call Deb at 319-521-2253 to place your order from Blakey Gardens. To order from Muschaweck Fruit call Al at 319-453-2158 to place your order.
Extension Office is open
As of today July 6th the Benton County Extension Office is open. We will ask that our walk in clients practice social distancing when entering the office. If they have not been feeling well, experienced a fever or have been exposed to COVID-19 to not enter our office but call us 319-472-4739 for assistance.
Business Improvement Grant (BIG) program
Just a reminder that businesses in Vinton can apply for a Business Improvement Grant (BIG). The BIG Program is made possible by funds received through the Hotel Occupancy Tax program within the City of Vinton.The objectives of the program are 1) to support rehabilitation and preservation of commercial property; 2) encourage new business; and 3) retain, revitalize and expand an existing business in Vinton.

Ideal Industries, Inc. announced today that it is positioning for the COVID-19 recovery period by consolidating operations in its Vinton plant. Ideal's production in Oelwein will continue until June 11, 2020, in its north plant and until July 31, 2020, in its south plant. Noth locations in are in the Oelwein Industrial Park.One-third of Ideal's Oelwein workforce will be retained.
