Fareway sets new hours
Fareway is asking the public to adjust their shopping times to help a couple of different groups of people. From 8-9 a.m. they ask that only those 65 and older, those with underlying health conditions and expectant mothers visit the store at this time. From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. the store will be open to the public. The shorter store hours will give the staff time to restock the shelves and rest for the evening.

Benton County Title Company: Open with Limited Access
As of Wednesday morning, March 18, 2020, Benton County Title Company is
still open and taking title work orders. The Benton County Courthouse has closed to the
public as of this morning as well, but the employees are still working inside. We are able
to still get documents and files as needed, generally once a day, so we are able to certify
our title work.
IPA Cancels April Meeting
The IPA Executive Board after serious discussion, has decided to cancel the April 4th 2020 meeting. The CDC recommendation to avoid gatherings of 50 or more people, and Governor Reynolds recommendation of closing schools, has brought us to this decision. The IPA Board values the health and safety of all our IPA members. I know a lot of you have prepared and were looking forward to our first spring gathering, as I know I was.
Vinton Public Library Closed through April 14 - Check out their website
The Vinton Public Library will be closed through April 14, 2020. The book drop is still available to return any materials. You can visit the library website and find all kinds of information there.

I still believe that Vinton is different than any other town I've lived in, ok, just two others...but this is why Vinton is so awesome. McClure Financial Services: Update
McClure Financial is postponing all face to face client appointments until further notice. We are continuing to work on tax returns, payrolls and bookkeeping, but the office is closed to clients. Clients can deliver information for returns by dropping it through our letter slot or via U.S. Mail. We can also arrange to exchange information through our secure online portal.
Palace Theatre: Closed until further notice
In light of the Governor’s announcement last night to close Iowa schools for the next 4 weeks, and the CDC recommendation to avoid gatherings of groups of people greater than 50 for the next 8 weeks, the Palace Theatre will be closed until further notice.Thank you for understanding the need to prioritize the safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff.
