Sec. Perdue grants Gov. Reynolds’ request for a Secretarial disaster designation
In accordance with the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act, 7 additional counties were designated contiguous natural disaster counties, including: Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Keokuk, Linn, Powesheik, Tama and Washington counties. These designations follow Secretary Perdue’s September 3 approval of 42 counties considered primary and contiguous natural disaster areas in response to Governor Reynolds’ request immediately following the storm.

Farm Bureau donates to Disaster Recovery Coalition
Because of the commitment to their local communities and advocacy for rural issues, the Benton County Farm Bureau was designated a 2019 Outstanding County Farm Bureau by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation (IFBF). Clipper Corner holds Annual Raffle to support Gifts of Hope
For the next month, Clipper Corner will hold their annual raffle to benefit the Gifts of Hope program. Gifts of Hope offers help to those who are facing a breast cancer diagnosis.With several items in the prize bin and pink ribbon tote there will be two winners in this year's raffle.
