BENTON COUNTY COLLECTIONS IS OFF TO THE FASTEST START YET!

Benton County has been collecting delinquent Court debit since 2011. Each July, the State requires that Benton County collect $50,000 in order to "meet threshold" and remain in the collections program. Last year threshold was met in October but this year, the $50,000 threshold amount was collected by the first week in Septembera full month ahead of previous years.

New GovConnectIowa Features Coming Soon: Here's what you need to know

The Iowa Department of Revenue and other state agencies are reminding new and existing users about upcoming changes to GovConnectIowa.GovConnectIowa is the State of Iowa's user-friendly self-service portal to register or renew certain business licenses and permits, file tax returns and reports, make payments, and more. The second rollout of this multi-year effort to simplify processes for Iowa taxpayers will occur on November 14, 2022.

AmeriCorps VISTAFounded in 1965, Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is a public program designed to provide men and women who act as the resources for non-profit organizations and public offices to increase their ability to assist in lifting communities out of poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA provides opportunities for Americans eighteen years of age and older from diverse backgrounds to dedicate a year of service with non-profit organizations or public entities (as a host organization) to create or to expand efforts designed to empower low-income individuals and communities.
