Vinton PD partners with Pink Heals to raise funds

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Vinton Police Department is selling pink patches for $5 each to help support Pink Heals of Eastern Iowa. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Pink Heals Eastern Iowa to help with their projects.

Wednesday afternoon field fire brings another quick response from the VFD

A fire at the farm of Wayne and Sharon Rhinehart brought the Vinton Fire Department. Around 2:00 p.m. a call came in from Wayne about a fire in his field.

The Vinton swimming pool slide slips away into the past

Vinton Park's and Rec is in the process of upgrading the pool For a long time the condition of the slide was such that it needed to be replaced.  Last week in a lengthy process, the slide was taken down.
