Vietnam veteran Craig Streeter of Vinton receives words of thanks from U.S. Senator Joni Ernst during the most recent Honor Flight. Streeter was among the many Vietnam veterans who were insulted or spit on when they returned from serving there.

FFA Labor Auction raises more than $8,700

Senior Awards Night: Class of 2017 receives $115,000 from local residents, organizations

The Vinton-Shellsburg High School Senior Awards Night was held on Wednesday, May 10, in the V-S HS Auditorium. Over $115,000 of local money was awarded to 43 members of the Class of 2017.
