Cynthia Louise Benson was born on September 5, 1955, in Waukon, Iowa. She was the first of 6 children born to William and Lois (Hertrampf) Benson. The family moved to Vinton in the early 60's where Cindy grew up, attended school, and graduated in 1974. She traveled to Minnesota to further her education as a Veterinarian's Assistant, a trade she loved and worked in for years after returning to Vinton.

Randall Scott Salzmann, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Virginia Gay Hospital with his family by his side. Private family graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown. “Randy” was born December 28, 1956 in Wells, Minnesota to Merlyn “Squirt” and Shirley (Breitkreutz) Salzmann.

Clarence Larry Staton, age 80, of Sweetwater passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at his home.Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Dolores Marie (Klimesh Frana) Struck, age 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24, 2022, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids.Memorial services will be held in April of 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.Dolores was born on April 12, 1927 in Conover, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Albina (Kalishek) Klimesh.

Friends may visit with the family Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Buckley “Buck” Lew Miner, 66, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October, 28, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.Buck was born January 12, 1956 to Orlan Lloyd and Velma C. (Buswell) Miner in Belle Plaine. He graduated from Belle Plaine, High School in 1974. Buck worked for the Chicago NW Railway and the Belle Plaine Nursery. He loved to fish, spending many hours on the Iowa River and trips to Canada.

Pamela Sue Koss, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. David “Birdie” N. Johnson, 83 of Belle Plaine, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine from complications of COPD.Birdie was born February 26, 1939 the son of Raleigh and Jeanette (Monroe) Johnson. He met the love of his life while in the first grade, Sharon Jane Rusk; who he told his mother, he was going to marry.
