Anthony “Tony” Allen Pardun, 75 of Cedar Rapids, died after a battle with cancer on Friday, June 24, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Bear Creek Church 8:30-10:00 am with graveside services to follow at 10:15, the Celebration of Life will continue with Brandon Cruise later in the day.Tony is survived by his mother, Patricia Pardun of Independence; three children, Stephenie (Scott) Miller of Vinton, Valerie (Bret) Crowley of Coralville, and Anthony (Amalie) Pardun of Simi Valley, CA.

George William Kutchanek Jr., 99 of Belle Plaine, IA passed away June 26, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.George was born December 18, 1922 to George S. and Ollie M. (Loffler) Kutchanek in Chelsea, IA. George attended school through 9th grade then worked the farm with his father.On May 29, 1943 George married Maxine R. Kalina at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Belle Plaine.

Ralph Emanuel, 80 of Fairfax, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St., SW. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Fairfax.

Wesley “Wes” Marion Follensbee, 95, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Views of Marion. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3855 Katz Dr., Marion, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Marion Methodist, 5050 REC Drive, with Pastor Mike Morgan officiating.

David Kenneth Hoff, 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 2, 2022, at Falls Run Nursing Home in Fredericksburg, Va.His health was declining in the past five years, reduced to walking with canes, to walkers to being bed ridden for the last months. He moved to Medford, Ore., in 2018 and to Virginia in 2021.David was born to Archie and Vesper Claypool Hoff on July 3, 1937.

Edith Darlene (Walser Cook) Suchomel, age 99, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with her family by her side, after suffering an apparent stroke. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Oak Grove Church in rural Shellsburg with Pastor Matt Magee and David Upah as co-officiants.

Randy “Rudy” Osborn, 63, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Saturday June 18, 2022, of esophageal cancer. Celebration of Life: 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Stewart Baxter Funeral and Memorial Service in Mount Vernon. Celebrant Dawn Stephens will officiate. Visitation and viewing: 2 to 4 p.m.

Kathryn W. Brann, 92, of Cedar Rapids died at Unity Point Health St. Luke’s Hospital on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date.  Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Smith of Center Point and Donita Ohrt of Vinton; two sons, Rick (Penny) Ohrt of Vinton and Roger (Lori) Ohrt of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren, Tana (Chris) Turnbaugh and Jama (Josh) Robinson both of Cedar Rapids, Stefanie Ohrt of Des Moines, Gary (Keri) Ohrt of Corcoran, MN and Eric (Alysa) Ohrt of Granger and nine great grandchildren.

Dolores Mae Palmer, 93, of Mt. Auburn died after a short illness surrounded by family on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Virginia Gay Hospital. Services: 10:30 a.m. will be on Saturday, at the Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church by Pastor Luke Evans. Burial will be at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday after 9:30 a.

Shirley Ann "Lee" Corbett, 93, of Grundy Center, IA, formerly of Vinton, entered God's Kingdom on June 20th, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Phil Borleske officiating.  Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time Thursday at the church.
