Betty Rae (Underwood) Brown, 86, of Manchester, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.She was born at home on August 23, 1935 in La Porte City, Iowa to Ralph and Gertrude (Cooke) Underwood. At age 16, Betty Rae trusted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior which changed her life completely. Betty Rae graduated from Dysart High School in 1953 and went on to attend Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. Mary Ann Thorman
Mary Ann Thorman, 100, Blairstown, Iowa, passed away dearly loved by her family on May 16, 2022 at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab in Vinton, Iowa after an extended illness. Services will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Blairstown, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 with Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Steven Charles Schwab, 72, of Belle Plaine, Iowa passed away May 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.Steven was born May 3, 1950 in Belle Plaine, IA to Charles Henry and Gladys Mary (Hoyt) Schwab following the passing of his mother he was raised by his father and step-mother, Dorothy (Kramer) Schwab. Jerry Wayne Keel, age 65, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his home in Shellsburg, following a short illness. Per Jerry’s wishes, he will be cremated and will have a private family burial. Jerry was born on June 24, 1956 at Vinton to Wilbert and Audrey (Husted) Keel. He graduated from Shellsburg High School with the class of 1974. Jerry worked as an electrical technician at Rockwell Collins prior to completing his degree and starting his own business, Keel Electric, in which he repaired TV’s, stereos and small appliances. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time.
