Gale “Hoot” Heitmann, age 67, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at his home in rural Keystone.Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone. Travis Speer, age 41, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from complications of a cerebral aneurism.

Bill Cummings, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior and beloved wife, Faye, on December 7, 2021. Bill was born April 22, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Roger Allen and Ethel Mae (Seely) Cummings. At an early age he moved with his family to Vinton. He was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School in Vinton.On June 3, 1951, Bill was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Faye Baldwin, at the Assembly of God Church in Vinton. Arthur Franklin Harris, age 79, Bloomington, California passed suddenly on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his home. He was born in Iowa on June 5, 1942, to Thornton and Bernelta (Bahnsen) Harris.He graduated from Tipton High School in 1961 and joined the Navy in 1963. Zelda K. Powers, 77, of Quasqueton, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at her home in Quasqueton.Zelda was born July 7, 1944, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of George J. and Iris I. (Kress) Scott.
