Dora Dene Thompson, age 86 of Cedar Rapids died peacefully on Sunday, August 29, 2021 after a brief illness.Dora Dene Thompson was born December 16, 1934 in Webster City, Iowa. She is survived by her four sons and two daughters, Brad (Lanette) Thompson, Ross (Kelli) Thompson, David (Kathy) Thompson, John (Dawn) Thompson, Trisha (Daniel) Ives and Jennifer Thompson, and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Edwon G. Yedlik, 76, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at his home in rural Vinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Vinton Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton. Friends may call from 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Thursday. In deference to Lucille, the family would appreciate the wearing of masks by un-vaccinated individuals at the visitation and the service.

Helen I. (Eggleston) Berry, 97 of Vinton, died peacefully on November 7, 2020 at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, at the Vinton Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends from 10:00 until service time, also at the church. Private interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.Helen was born in Vinton on September 6, 1923 to Lewis E.

Anne Elizabeth (Welp) Folkmann, 57, left this earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 11, 2021, following an extended illness. A Celebration of Anne's life will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Newhall's Main Park Pavillion from 2-7 p.m. (206 3rd Ave. in Newhall, IA.) A private family interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.

Eugene Paul Kriegel, age 66, of Brooklyn, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, Iowa. A rosary will be recited beginning at 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. Eugene is survived by his wife of 45 years, Christina; three children, Amy (Steve) Krakow, Ryan (Cari) Kriegel and Angela (Chad) Grimm; nine grandchildren, Zachary and Benjamin Smith, Lucas (Marissa), Jacob, Katie and Blake Krakow, Jayden and Jaxson Grimm and Mishayla Kleinmeyer; one great-granddaughter Ava Kleinmeyer; five siblings, Phyllis (Myron) McGowan, of Vinton, Susan (John) Everett, of Atkins, Phillip (Teresa) Kriegel, of Brooklyn, Joseph (Kim) Kriegel, of Brooklyn, and Diana (Ken) Swartz, of Puntagorda, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

—Teresa Lynn (Pickart) Wilson, 63, passed away August 27th, 2021 while on vacation in Two Rivers, WI of natural causes.Private family services will be held with burial at Homer Big Grove Cemetery.Teresa was born on September 13th, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Edward and Carol (Brown) Pickart. She graduated from Benton Community School in 1975. She was united in marriage to Dave Wilson in Cedar Rapids on June 9, 1979.

William "Bill" or "Jocko" John Jacobi, 54, of Augusta, Kansas died on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, due to complications from an illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 1st, at St. John XXIII Catholic Church (8100 Roncalli Dr. SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) with Father Richmond Dzekoe as celebrant. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, August 31 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.

Deborah Brimeyer, 55, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at her home in Van Horne.Debbie was born on May 25, 1966 in Washington DC and moved to Longmont, Colorado in 1967. She graduated from Olde Columbine High School in 1984. Debbie was a loving mother, and a caring friend. She loved camping, swimming and most of all she loved animals. Debbie cherished spending time with her family and being outdoors.
