Bonita “Bonnie” Louise Ott

Bonita “Bonnie” Louise Ott, 75, of Sunnycrest Manor in Dubuque, Iowa, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, April 13, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.She was born on Dec. 10, 1946, in Sandusky, Ohio, and graduated from St Mary’s Catholic High School in 1964.In 1965, she entered the Dominican Convent, known as Sister Elise.

Betty Lahue, 96, died Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center in Independence, IA. Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home in Vinton. Burial: Urbana Cemetery, Urbana, IA. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.Betty is survived by three daughters: Catherine Hoppe, Terry Manning and Sandi (Steve) Elgin; son, Tracy (Debb) Lahue; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, with fellowship following at Brosh Chapel.

Maxine Marie Siemens

Maxine Marie Siemens, 93 of La Porte City, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, April 22, 2022.She was born September 17, 1928 in Traer, daughter of Alexander and Louise (Yanda) Thompson. She married Wallace C. Siemens June 27, 1951, he preceded her in death on  August 12, 1974.Maxine was a loving wife and mother to her eight children, devoting her entire life to them and being there for so many others.

Melvin Charles McElwee

Melvin Charles McElwee, 67, of Armstrong, IA met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face early Friday morning, April 22, 2022 at Mayo Health Systems – Fairmont, MN.Melvin was born February 2, 1955 to Charles Layton and Hazel Mae McElwee in Fairmont, MN. He accepted Jesus as his Savior at Vacation Bible School at the Free Methodist Church, Armstrong, IA when he was 8 years old and was a faithful follower of Christ his entire life.

Suzanna "Suzi" Steggall

Suzanna "Suzi" Steggall, affectionately known to her family as "Quits," died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Monument Hospital in Rapid City, S.D.Suzi was the youngest of five children. She was born Dec. 14, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, to Lowell and Nancy (Vanous) Steggall. She lived with a free spirit and loved hard. Suzi graduated from Jefferson High School in 1982.

Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2210 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50014.
