Robert Lee Swehla, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha with his family by his side.Graveside services will be held for Robert and his wife Sharon at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Mound Cemetery in Watkins.Robert was born on December 18, 1947, in Fayette, IA. the son of Robert Frank and Emma (Pavlovec) Swehla. Junior Lavern Pritchett, 86, formerly of Missouri and Vinton, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri.Junior was born on August 16, 1934 in Cooter, MO., the son of Oscar and Pauline (Grammar) Pritchett. He had worked for D.C. Taylor and at the Iowa Ham Plant in Vinton prior to his retirement.

Laverne "Vern" Jackson, 87, of Marion, passed away on April 13, 2021, at St. Luke's UnityPoint Hospice in Cedar Rapids. A public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. April 16 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dorothy (Flant) Plagmann, 98, of Norway, Iowa, passed away April 10, 2021, at West Ridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.Dorothy was born Aug. 26, 1922, on a farm near Williamsburg, Iowa. She attended Pilot Grove rural school and later completed high school at Kirkwood Community College and received her B.A. degree from Coe College in 2003 at age 80, where she was a member of Mortar Board and the National Honor Society.
