Streeter, 73, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 29, 2021 at his residence in Brandon, IA.A celebration of Denny’s life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Brandon Community Center in Brandon. Janet Mae Hodges, age 91, of Atlantic, IA, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Heritage House in Atlantic, IA.On October 15, 1930, Janet was born in Oklahoma City, OK. The family moved to Sterling, IL, and settled in Vinton, IA, where Janet grew up and graduated from high school in 1948. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and initially obtained a two-year teaching degree in 1950. Jonathan Robert Gihring
Jonathan Robert Gihring, 44, of Garrison, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at MercyOne Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa.Per his wishes, he has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Survivors include his children, Breann Gihring and Samuel Gihring, both at home; father, Robert "Bob" Gihring of Garrison; siblings, Rodney (Martha) Gihring of Des Moines, Shawn Gihring of Garrison, Jamie Gihring of Garrison and Susie Gihring of Virginia; also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins. James “Jim” E. Blomme
James “Jim” E. Blomme, 66, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA.James was born April 12, 1955 to Vernon and Mary Ellen (Collum) Blomme in Newport, Rhode Island while his father was serving in the U.S. Navy. Upon honorable discharge, the family moved home to Belle Plaine, where Jim was raised and enjoyed wrestling for Belle Plaine High School until he graduated in 1974.
