Jerry Lynn Hanna, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Country House Residence in Cedar Rapids. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Vinton, with Rev. Randy Kasch officiating.  Military Rites will follow the service at the church.  Private family interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.

Jennifer "Jenny" Hebert, 46, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, rural Holland, Iowa.Survivors include her husband, Jason; son, Zachary; mother, Renita Bacon of Hiawatha; sisters, Rebecca Bacon of Des Moines, Iowa, and Sandra (David) Hedrick of Vinton, Iowa; mother-in-law, Nona Cummings of Marion; sister-in-law, Heather (Tim) Smith of Olin; nieces and nephews, Lucas Smith, Keegan Hebert, Olivia Hedrick, and Averi Hedrick; and her faithful companions, Bailey, Izzy and Brandy.

Richard "Dick" "Obie" Alan Oberreuter, 82, of Cedar Rapids, IA, peacefully went to be with the Lord November 1, 2021, surrounded by family.Richard was born July 10, 1939 to Aloysius and Agnes (Fitzgerald) Oberreuter in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Newhall High School in 1957. On February 27, 1960 Dick married Violet Vargason. Dick was in real estate for 36 years and farmed for 20 years near Watkins.

Connie Richards, 80, of Vinton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton, Iowa, with the Rev. Brian Channel officiating, visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.She was born Sept.

Dorothy (Gillis) Rathje-Armstrong, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Meadowview Memory Care in Cedar Rapids. Private family graveside services will be held at McBroom Cemetery, rural Shellsburg, with Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating.  Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 303 3rd Ave.

Darrel J. Nye, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his home in Cedar Rapids, with his family by his side. A Celebration of Darrel’s Life will be held from 1:00 until 5:00 PM, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at May City Bowl in Cedar Rapids.  Memorials may be forwarded to 422 24th St. NW Cedar Rapids, IA 52405 Darrel was born on April 14, 1944 in Cedar Rapids, to Jack and Eileen (Tubbs) Nye, and graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids with the class of 1962.

Kathryn Louise Klenk, 95, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away October 27, 2021 at Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, IA.Kathryn was born July 13, 1926 to William and Hazel (Icenbice) Jack in Deep River, IA. She attended country school near Ladora, IA. She married Wesley Klenk and together they lived on the Klenk family farm. Katherine was blessed to stay home and raise her children while they were young and upon them growing older, she helped work the farm with her husband.

Roger Bird, 61 died October 25, 2021 at his home in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born February 9, 1960 to  Harold and Hazel Woods Bird  in Sigourney, Iowa. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1978. He married Fontelle Hindon and they later divorced, he married Brenda Fulmer and they later divorced. He married Lisa Bentz and they later divorced.

Daniel Marzen, 64 of Bondurant and formerly of New Sharon and Grinnell, passed away Sunday morning, October 24, 2021 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Private graveside funeral services will be held in the Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. No visitation is planned. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.Daniel Joseph Marzen, the son of Kenneth and Rose (Naumann) Marzen, was born on October 15, 1957 in Charles City, Iowa.

Bonnie Sanders, 70, passed away from complications of surgery on Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton with Rev. Brian Channel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
