Kenneth LeRoy "Pa" Lieb
On Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, Kenneth LeRoy "Pa" Lieb passed away following a brief illness, not COVID-19 related, surrounded by his loving children.Ken was born July 30, 1931, to Carl and Esther (Jacobsen) Lieb in Atkins, Iowa. He graduated from the Atkins High School in 1949, after which time he began his career as a third-generation carpenter with Lieb & Sons Construction, the family business.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown, with Rev. Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. James (J’Me) Allen Schuelka, 49, died Friday, February 19, 2021 at VGH in Vinton following a sudden illness.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.J’Me was born September 3, 1971, in Iowa City, IA, the son of John Henry and Vicki Maye Tharp Schuleka, Jr. While in Job Corps, J’Me earned his GED and education in carpentry.On July 31, 2010, J’Me was united in marriage with Sonja Kimm at Riverside Park in Vinton. Marlene M. Brown, 84, of Brandon, Iowa, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at the Journey Care Center in Barrington, Ill., surrounded by her family.Marlene was born to Orville C. and Charlotte M. (Davis) Lehman on May 13, 1936, in their home in rural Brandon, Iowa. Marlene attended the Brandon Community School and graduated in 1954. She went on to attend the Iowa Teacher's College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and received her certificate of Teaching in 1956. Kevin LeRoy “Skatman” Lint

Lorna Anna Johanna (Lorenz) Rieck, 93, of Luzerne passed away peacefully at the Vinton Lutheran Home on February 17, 2021 after a brief illness. A celebration of Lorna’s life will be held at a later date. Lorna was born May 10, 1927 in Williamsburg, Iowa to Arnold & Emma (Huedepohl) Lorenz. in the comfort of his home after a long courageous battle with
multiple myeloma.

was born November 20, 1946 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to Julia (Spickler)
and Ernest Fossum. He graduated from Iowa State Teachers College High
School in 1965 and later from the University of Northern Iowa.
