Gayle Janss, 94, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, IA.Gayle was born May 20, 1926 to Eldo and Idella (Gewecke) Meyer on the family farm in Luzerne. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School where Gayle met her high school sweetheart L.G. “Pete” Janss and married February 11, 1946 at the First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Darlyne Marie (Barnes) Putz, Beloved wife of Robert Putz, went home with the angels on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born on February 18th, 1933 to Malani Barnes and Hazel Barnes.Mom was a vibrant soul who loved life, loved her family, and loved to travel.
