Theodore “Ted” Wilson
Theodore “Ted” Wilson, 69 was called to his heavenly home on Friday, March 19, 2021 after an ongoing battle with cancer spending his final days at his home with family in Cedar Rapids, IA. A public visitation will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. “Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. Clifford C. Pint, 80 of La Porte City, formerly of Brandon, died Tuesday March 16, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1940 in Fayette County the son of Carl and Hazel (Teepee) Pint. He married Jan Keegan on November 22, 2002 in Brandon. He served his country in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Clifford worked at John Deere for over 30 years most recently in the Waterloo Tractor Works. Betty Maureen (Dorsey) Herold
Born on March 18th, 1930 in Vinton, Iowa, Betty Maureen (Dorsey) Herold passed away peacefully on the 28th of January 2021 at her beautiful residence in Reno, NV.Betty moved to Santa Maria, CA when she was a young girl. Her Uncle Harry Dorsey had built a new theatre, the original Santa Maria Theatre (opened 1928 - sadly closed 1988), and her family came to help with the business. Gladys Hummel

Leni Kay Brandt, 74, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was the daughter of William and Leota England of Belle Plaine, Iowa, where she graduated school. Leni worked at Amana Refrigeration from 1972, until she retired in 2008. She was married and has three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Tex David Ruhl, 73, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his Vinton Home following a sudden illness.Private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.Tex was born on May 18, 1947, in Vinton, the son of Charles L. “Charley” and Esther (Noeller) Ruhl. Fleur Kathleen Benjamin was born in December of 1934, and she went to be with her Lord in December of 2020 at the age of 86. She grew up in Vinton, Iowa, and is the oldest of 5 siblings, which include Yvonne Turner of Bedford, TX. Fleur was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Glenn, her sister Thurla, and brothers Glenn (Donna) and Gene (Sherry – who is still living in Austin, TX).
