Jay Michael Rector

Jay Michael Rector, 61, died unexpectedly on September 7th, 2020, at his home. He was born in Vinton, Iowa on January 21st, 1959 to Harold and Drusilla Rector. Jay graduated from Iowa State University in 1981 with a degree in Industrial Administration; while there, he met the love of his life, Deborah Morman. In 1981, Jay and Deborah got married and shortly after, moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where Jay took a job with Phillips Petroleum for five years.

Tierney Lynch Ratti

Tierney Lynch Ratti, 61, of Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Vinton, Iowa, died on September 12, 2020, at the Sentara Hospice House, in Virginia Beach.  She had suffered for several years from complications of Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris, commonly referred to as PRP.  Her body was donated for medical research, with interment at a later date.

Susan (Sue) Lee Stallman

Susan (Sue) Lee Stallman, 74, of Atkins, Iowa, passed away at home Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.Born May 31, 1946, in Mason City, Iowa, to LeRoy and Florence (Venechuk) Miller, Sue graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1964 and moved to Cedar Rapids in 1966. On Oct. 24, 1970, Susan married Terry Stallman in Cedar Rapids, and togetherthey raised their daughter Tammy.

Helen Ann (Junge) Jurgens

 Helen Ann (Junge) Jurgens, 87, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Mercy Hospice House in Hiawatha.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Keystone Cemetery.  Per Helen’s wishes, the service will be short.   A luncheon will follow at the Keystone Turner Hall.Helen was born on January 23, 1933 to Peter and Hilda (Seeck) Junge of Keystone, Iowa.

Virginia Kay Moser

Virginia Kay Moser, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2020, at the Presbyterian Church in Vinton with Rev. Jessica Crane-Munoz officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton.

Douglas James Kimm

Douglas James Kimm, 83 of Blairstown, Iowa passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo. He had been a resident of Rose Haven Care Center for the last 8 months. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 a.

DAVID L. KREUTNER

David L. Kreutner passed away on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, in Sacramento, Calif. David was born on March 1, 1941, in Dunkerton, Iowa, to Bernard F. and Marie B. (Bruch) Kreutner.He is survived by his wife, Bernice; daughters, Heather (Joe) Keller and Melissa Kreutner; his grandchildren, Jake and Dylan Keller and Jaden, Teisa and Coral Kreutner; his brothers, James (Christine) Kreutner and Wayne (Peg) Kreutner, and his sister, Jeanne (Murray) Pommier.

Evelyn Feuerbach

 Evelyn Feuerbach, age 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center. Private family services will be held at Cameron Park on Main Street in Keystone.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.  Cards of condolence or memorials may be forwarded to Sandra Fetter 157 W. Cemetery Road, Fairfax, IA 52228 Evelyn was born January 13, 1922 in Elberon, Iowa the daughter of John and Rose (Stahr) Konicek.

Robert W. “Bob” Cohrt

Robert W. “Bob” Cohrt, age 83, died at home Thursday, September 3, 2020.A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.Robert Wayne Cohrt was born May 27,1937 in the Belle Plaine Hospital, to Ernest and LaVerna (Brunssen) Cohrt.  He graduated from Keystone High School and attended Kirkwood Community College.  Bob served his Country in the United States Army from 1960 until 1963.

Inez Pauline Maile

Inez Pauline Maile, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. Inez was born October 23, 1926 in Greene County, Iowa the daughter of George and Elsie (McClurg) Hartwigsen. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Jefferson, Iowa.
