On Monday, November 30, 2020 Paul Edward Kennedy passed away in his home due to heart complications (not related to Covid-19) at the age of 66. Paul was born on July 2, 1954 in Little Falls, MN. He was a proud banker and passionate businessman. Paul had a heart for animals, travel, football, politics, finance, Busch Light, Bloomsbury Farm, and his family.

Everett Edwin Kintzel 97, a resident of the Keystone Nursing Care Center, passed away on Monday November 30, 2020 from COVID-19 complications. A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in Blairstown, Iowa with Rev. Dwayne Thoman as celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Patrick and St.
Sharen Marlene Schulte
Sharen Marlene Schulte, 69, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Keystone Care Center. Private graveside services were held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton. Sharen was born January 13, 1951 in Cleveland, OH to Grover Clayton and June Lucille (Jasin) Schulte. She graduated from Fairview High School in Ohio and earned her BS degree from Defiance College in Defiance, OH.
Matthew (Matt) John Selken
Matthew (Matt) John Selken, 51, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at his home in rural Vinton following an extended illness.Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020 at Bear Creek Cemetery, Vinton with Pastor Matt Hantzofficiating.Matt was born January 14, 1969, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Sharon Williams and Ronald Selken.
Linda Kay Bush
Linda Kay Bush was born in Vinton, Iowa, on April 20, 1949, to Kenneth and Berniece Schwartz. She passed away on Friday, Nov. 27, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness, not COVID-19. Linda spent her adult life in Cedar Rapids working at several different jobs until she became disabled from arthritis and other health issues. Linda is survived by her mother; sister, Rosemary Schwartz of Vinton; brother, Barry (Tammy) Schwartz of Cedar Rapids; and her dear friend and caretaker, Jeanne McLaughlin.
Betty Jenevieve "Jean" Urlaub
Betty Jenevieve "Jean" Urlaub was born Sept. 5, 1925, at the family farm near Princeton, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond M. and Marjorie J. (McCulloh) Helble. She attended Maple Glen School in rural Princeton, Clinton High School in Clinton, Iowa, and Carthage College in Carthage, Ill., where she met Leland Urlaub. They married on Aug. 3, 1946.
Chance “C J” Walker
Chance “C J” Walker, 35, died November 30, 2020 at his home from natural causes.A Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Vinton with Pastor John Karrick officiating.Chance was born in Vinton January 28, 1985, the son of Tracy and Beckie Driscol Walker. He grew up and attended school in Vinton, graduating in 2003.

Ralph J. Wessling, 91, died peacefully Monday, November 30, 2020 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vintonfollowing complications of a fall.Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Jim Brokman as celebrant. Masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton, at a later date.
Arlene Sindt
Arlene Sindt, 88, of Story City, formerly of Van Horne, died November 30, 2020 at Bethany Manor in Story City after a nine-year battle with Alzheimer’s. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Van Horne with Pastor David Lingard officiating. Interment will be at Keystone Cemetery near Keystone.
Dennis Eldon Von Ahsen
Dennis Eldon Von Ahsen, 69, passed away peacefully on November 24th, at the VA Hospital of heart failure after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. A private funeral service will be held Friday, December 4th at St. John Lutheran Church, Newhall with military honors to follow at the church cemetery.
