Gregory “Greg” Alec Breja
Gregory “Greg” Alec Breja, 50, of Elberon, IA passed away suddenly, June 5, 2021 at his home, due to a heart condition. Greg was born October 11, 1970 in Waterloo, IA to Stephen and Elizabeth “Betty” (Gindt) Breja. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School, class of 1989. Following school, Greg lived at home to help his family on the farm as well as other famers in the area. Douglas Gene Thompson
Douglas Gene Thompson, age 69, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 7, 2021 at his home in Vinton Private family services will be held. Douglas was born October 9, 1951 to William and Arlene (Bushnell) Thompson. He attended Washington High School in Vinton. He served his country in the United States Army and later enlisted in the Navy.

Richard John (Dick or affectionately called Dickie Doo) Mouchka, 85, passed away peacefully Friday, May 28, 2021, at his home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.Dick was born and graduated from high school in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Charley and Opal Mouchka. He served the Army in Alaska and then returned to Marengo, Iowa, where he farmed and fed cattle for many years.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with Rev. Jeff Schanbacher officiating. Easton Richard Lindeman, at the age of 3, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital following a year-long battle with cancer. A celebration of Easton's life will be held from 1:00-5:00 PM Saturday, June 5th, 2021, at Celebration Park, 105 W. 2nd Street Vinton. Edward Gayle Smith, age 93, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the Keystone Care Center, Keystone following an extended illness. Private family services will be held at the Keystone Cemetery. Ed was born October 28, 1927, to Joseph and Martha (Lamar) Smith and graduated from Ottumwa High School. He served in WWII (Army) 1946-48. Adam Hobert Smalley, 52, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine.Adam was born in Grantham, OR, the son of Howard and Tressie (Jarvis) Smalley. While Adam was young, he moved with his family to Cedar Rapids, IA where he attended Jefferson High School. Then moving to Luzerne, IA where he attended Belle Plaine High School.
