Ralph Gary Miller, 77, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 in Newhall. Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Ralph Gary Miller was born April 11, 1945 to parents Ralph and Gloria (Willman) Miller. He grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, living with his maternal grandmother, Stella Willman, near his mother and three younger siblings.

Linda Charlene Mahr, 78, of Shellsburg, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life services will be at a later date. Mildred Maxine Burris, 97, of Vinton, died January 19, 2023 at the Vinton Lutheran Home. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the First Christian Church, Vinton, with Pastor Richard Jumper officiating. Janice Marie Novak

On Christmas 2022 while in her sleep, he took back Jan Novak, one of his earth angels.Jan was born Janice Marie George to Darrell and Virginia George on Oct. 30, 1946, in Shenandoah, Iowa. Her parents moved to Shellsburg, Iowa, and Jan graduated from Shellsburg High School in 1964.

Newton Charles Waggoner

Newton Charles Waggoner, of Dysart, passed away peacefully at his home on January 17, 2023. Newt was born December 16, 1928, in Urbana Township, Illinois, the son of James and Elsie (Fitch) Waggoner. He served in the Air Force from 1945 through 1949. Newt married his sweetheart, Nellie Kirby, in August 1949. They raised seven sons and a daughter and made their home, for the most part, in Rockford, Illinois area.

Earlene (Knapp) Stueck

 Earlene (Knapp) Stueck, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Atkins with Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Stephens Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday, at the church in Atkins.

Lonnie P. Ollendieck

Lonnie P. Ollendieck, 55, of LaPorte City, died Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 9, 1967, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth J. and Dalene R. (Reinhart) Ollendieck. Lonnie graduated from Dysart-Geneseo High School in 1985. Then he attended Hawkeye Community College, studying Farm Business Management.

Vincent “Mike” Pettinger

Vincent “Mike” Pettinger, 91, passed away December 29, 2022 at his home in West Branch. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in West Branch on January 21 at 11:00 AM with a lunch following in the church basement.Mike was born September 25, 1931, in Cumberland, Iowa, the son of Gene and Helen Pettinger. He attended elementary school in a one-room schoolhouse, Union 7, and graduated from Cumberland High School in 1949.
