Buckley “Buck” Lew Miner, 66, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away October, 28, 2022 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.Buck was born January 12, 1956 to Orlan Lloyd and Velma C. (Buswell) Miner in Belle Plaine. He graduated from Belle Plaine, High School in 1974. Buck worked for the Chicago NW Railway and the Belle Plaine Nursery. He loved to fish, spending many hours on the Iowa River and trips to Canada.

Pamela Sue Koss, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Vining National Cemetery, Vining, Iowa.
David "Birdie" N Johnson
David “Birdie” N. Johnson, 83 of Belle Plaine, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine from complications of COPD.Birdie was born February 26, 1939 the son of Raleigh and Jeanette (Monroe) Johnson. He met the love of his life while in the first grade, Sharon Jane Rusk; who he told his mother, he was going to marry.

Darrel Lynn Derby, 68, of Elberon, IA passed away October 24, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA.Darrel was born January 26, 1954 to Everett Nelson and Betty Eldora (Northup) Derby in Delta, IA. He graduated from Sigourney, IA, class of 1972. Following school, Darrel joined the Army National Guard and began working for Amana Refrigeration, which he retired after 47 years in 2019.

Edward "Ed" Virgil Wilson, 75, of Urbana died on Friday, October 21, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Brandon Community Center on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 3-7:00 p.m. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Edward and his family.Ed is survived by Dwight Craft; two daughters: Tennille (Michael) Fain of Marion and Lindsey Seegers (Shane) of Denver; three granddaughters: Mckayla, Elizabeth and Reagan; two sisters: Madeline (Mike) Knowlton of Charles City and Carol Roy of Cedar Rapids; along with many, many nieces and nephews.

Pauline K. Bervid, 91, of Urbana, Iowa, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.Pauline was the daughter of William and Tillie (Simanek) Barta.

Nancy Rae Abbott, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Maplewood Cemetery in Vinton. Nancy was born on July 16, 1933 in Vinton, one of 11 children of Arnold and Elsie (Brown) Abbott. Nancy had a loving, childlike personality.

James Craig Nottger, 72, of Vinton, passed away at his home Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Vinton by Pastor Anne Williams. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.

She graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1971.
