Eleanor Jane Henecke
On Saturday, September 3, 2022, Eleanor Jane Henecke of Palo, Iowa passed away. A lifelong resident of the Palo/Shellsburg Iowa area, Jane as she was known, was born on April 18th, 1939 to Eldon and Alberta (Railsback) Minor. On August 8, 1959 she married her husband David (Henecke) of almost 60 years together until his passing in 2019. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17th at Cedar Memorial’s Chapel of memories from 9:00 am to 10:30 am directly followed at 10:30 by a Celebration of Life ceremony.

Vivian Charlotte Robinson, 88, died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Mary Catholic Church, Vinton with Father Jim Brokman as Celebrant. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg at 1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Those not attending the Rosary may visit with the family from 5:30–8:00 p.
Sandra “Sandy” Drew
Sandra "Sandy" Drew, 79, of Vinton, died at her residence Saturday, September 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Sandy's home, 2886 61st Street Lane, Lot 10, Vinton. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.Sandy is survived by her husband, Clark of Vinton; two daughters: Melisa Cooper of Cedar Rapids and Crystal (Mark) Freitager of Delhi; one son, Gary Cooper of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren: Carly Cooper, Evan Freitager (Paige Anderson), Calese Clemens, Cole Cooper and Caleb Clendenen; brother, Daniel Steggall of the Phillipines; sister-in-law, Cheryl Steggall of Cedar Rapids; sisters and brothers-in-law: Kevin (Terri) Drew, Craig (Kris) Drew, Kurt (Tia) Drew all of Cedar Rapids, Kelly (Jill) Drew of FL and Beth (Gus) Hartauer of IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Elzie G. Lee Jr.
Elzie G. Lee, Jr., 79, of La Porte City, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at ProMedica. He was born August 12, 1943, in Charlotte, Iowa the son of Elzie G. and Ruby Ann (Robins) Lee Sr. He was a 1963 La Porte City High School graduate and attended Marshalltown Community College.He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.Elzie was united in marriage to Linda Lee Sears on September 25, 1965, in Council Bluffs.
Richard “Rich” McKibben
Richard “Rich” McKibben, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Per Richard’s wishes there will be no services. Richard was born, on May 5, 1945, the son of Richard McKibben and Lois (Kennedy) McKibben in Newton, Iowa. He graduated from Marion High School in 1963. In 1973 he was united in marriage to Connie Knuth at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton, the couple later divorced but remained close.

Donald Fred Richard Andresen, 84, of Spirit Lake, IA, formerly of Keystone, IA, was called to heaven on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from Keelson's Harbour Assisted Living where he and wife, Norma, reside. Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone with Rev.
Barbara Ann Hart
Barbara Ann Hart, 62, of Cedar Rapids, took leave of this Earth on Thursday, September 1, 2022 while at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She unexpectedly collapsed into the arms of her family on August 30, while recovering from surgery. Despite the great efforts made to save her, it was at this time she joined her parents in Heaven.Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Tom; her children, Megan (Manuel) Hart-Fernandez of Cedar Rapids, Molly (Dan) Cord of Salt Lake City, Utah and Rob (Amy) of Iowa City; her brothers and sisters, Garry (Kathy) Wilhelmi, Kathy (Sam) Dronebarger, David (Rhonda) Wilhelmi, Patti (Dean) Evans and Linda Wear; grandchildren, Stella, Theo, Sofia, Landon and Scarlett; family friend, Pat Wilson; as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mia Ann Wyant
Mia Ann Wyant the infant daughter of Breanna Lynn Robertson and Jordan David Wyant was born August 21, 2022 at the Helen G. Nassif Center, Cedar Rapids, IA, after a brief stay, she passed away September 6, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.Mia is survived by her parents, and many more loving family and friends.She was preceded in death and welcomed home by her great-grandfather, Dennis Kithcart Sr.

Sister Mary Ann Becker, RSM, 96, died on Sept. 4, 2022, at Hallmar Care Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after a brief illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Chapel, by the Rev. Greg Bahl. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Chapel, with a wake service at 6:30 p.
George B. Aldrich
George B. Aldrich, 88, of Brandon, Iowa, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.George was born on Aug. 23, 1934, in Tama, Iowa the son of Bernard and Bernadette (Powell) Aldrich. He was a 1952 graduate of the Brandon High School in Brandon, Iowa. He enlisted in the United States Air Force serving until his discharge in 1957.
