Betty Stephens, 97, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Promise House Assisted Living in Hiawatha. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2023 at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton.Betty is survived by seven nephews: Laverne (Mary) Halstead and Donald Halstead of Vinton, Darwin (Janice) Halstead of TX, Mark Stephens of Green Bay, WI, Wayne Halstead of Cresco, Danny Mills of Belle Plaine and Phillip (Bonnie) Baskerville of Cedar Falls; and three nieces: Cathy Jo Mills of Belle Plaine, Becky (Dan) Briddle of Phoenix, AZ and Nancy (Jay) McWherter of Cedar Rapids.

Dora Mae (Zieser) Coleman

 Dora Mae (Zieser) Coleman, age 94, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana with Rev Jim Brokman as Celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Urbana. A Vigil service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, at the church in Urbana followed by visitation from 4:30 until 7:00 PM.

Lois Mardene Stueck

Lois Mardene Stueck of Dysart, passed away December 28, 2022 at Woodlands Creek Memory Care Unit, Clive, IA, at the age of 90. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4 at Zion Lutheran Church, Dysart, with Pastor Matthew Muters officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday, January 3 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service time.

Donald “Don” Dvorak, Age 88, passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home in Vinton, IA on Saturday, December 24, 2022.A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 3 to 6 PM and also from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Vinton, IA, on Saturday, December 31, 2022, with Pastor Stephen Preus officiating.

Dorthy Evelyn Hackett

Dorthy Evelyn Hackett, 89, of Shellsburg, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at Corridor Crossing Place in Cedar RapidsDorthy (Jones) Hackett was born August 7, 1933 in Goldfield, Iowa to Ernest and Viola Jones. Dorthy married George Hackett on June 26, 1955 in Van Meter, Iowa. Dorthy completed nursing school, and was a registered nurse at St Luke’s Hospital during her working career.

Michael Raymond Engledow

Michael Raymond Engledow, 57, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at his home. Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Stewart Baxter Funeral and Memorial Services in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Pastor Kyle French will be officiating. Military honors will be provided at the funeral home immediately following the funeral.

Diane Kay Voss, 73, of Marion passed away after a short illness on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.Diane is survived by her children, Stacy Garringer of Marion, Jill Voss of Atkins, and James (Kari) Voss of Shellsburg; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her siblings, Dawn (Larry) Bender of Cedar Rapids, Dorothy Workman of Hiawatha, Dennis Shakespeare of Shellsburg, Debbie (Tracy) Langguth of Cedar Rapids, Donna (Larry) Franz of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Mary Lou Shakespeare; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert F. “Bob” Truax

Robert F. “Bob” Truax, age 63, passed away on,Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at his home in Cedar Rapids from complications of an ongoing illness.Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton.  A short memorial service will follow, with Pastor David Condry officiating.

Warren Wagner

Warren Wagner was born February 9, 1943, in Vinton, Iowa; the son of Albert and Margaret (Boelsche) Wagner. He attended school in Dysart. After high school, he entered the United States Air Force and worked as a mechanic. Warren married Mary Womack on May 17, 1980, at the Dysart United Methodist Church. He worked at Luze Manufacturing then at Hanson's Motors in the Ford Garage as an auto mechanic.
