Timothy 'Tim' Connor
Timothy 'Tim' Connor, 67, of La Porte City, died Saturday, February 18, 2023, at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1955, in Cedar Falls, son of Robert and Jeanne (Osborn) Connor. Tim graduated from Cedar Falls High School.Tim married Mary Lou 'Ludy' Hibben in 1978, in Las Vegas. He worked for Black Hawk County in the Road Maintenance Department, starting as a grader, and then driving trucks until his retirement in 2015. Robert J. “Bob” Jones
Robert J. “Bob” Jones, age 89, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Mission, Texas.Celebration of life services will be held at the Jones – Eden Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023. The family will receive friends one hour before the service and during a luncheon following the service. Rita Kay Blake was born on December 30, 1949, in Vinton, Iowa, to her parents DuWayne and Lillian (Meyer) Schirm. She grew up on her family's farm in Garrison, Iowa, where she attended school, graduating in 1968 from Garrison High School. She had the esteemed privilege to serve as her class Valedictorian and during her high school years, she excelled at many things; basketball, percussion, baton twirling, softball, dance, 4H, piano, cheerleading and bowling.
