Edward "Ed" Virgil Wilson, 75, of Urbana died on Friday, October 21, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Brandon Community Center on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 3-7:00 p.m. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Edward and his family.Ed is survived by Dwight Craft; two daughters: Tennille (Michael) Fain of Marion and Lindsey Seegers (Shane) of Denver; three granddaughters: Mckayla, Elizabeth and Reagan; two sisters: Madeline (Mike) Knowlton of Charles City and Carol Roy of Cedar Rapids; along with many, many nieces and nephews.

Madeline (Wheeler) Greenwood, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton. Visitation for Madeline will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg, at a later date.

John L. Brody, age 58, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at his home in Shellsburg following a sudden illness. A Celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM. at Wildcat Country Club in Shellsburg. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.John was born on January 5, 1964 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton, the son of Gary and Monika (Minzel) Brody.

Roseann Hovey, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Benton House of Tiffany Springs in Kansas City, Missouri.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Atkins, with Rev. Doug Woltemath officiating. Interment will be held at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Atkins. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, from 4 to 7PM, also at the church.

Betty Jean Stallman, 99 of Norway died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Cedar Rapids. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church by Rev. Nicholas March. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Norway. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the church.

Lyle Edwin Schneider, age 81, of Denver, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Mercy One Covenant Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.Lyle was born on October 28, 1941, in Bremer County, Iowa, the son of Edwin and Esther (Klemp) Schneider. Lyle graduated from Wapsie Valley High School in 1960. On April 21, 1963, Lyle was united in marriage to Charlene Peters at St.
