Douglas Lee “Doug” Erger, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 7, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton. Diana (Diane) Lynn Sells, 66, died on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023 at her home in Dysart, Iowa. John F. "Jack" Meyers, 88, of La Porte City, died on Thursday, March 30, at his home.He was born on May 23, 1934, in Des Moines, son of LuVern and Eva Schmitt Meyers. Jack graduated from St. Mary's High School, Waterloo in 1952 and attended Iowa State University. Jack served in the United States Army (1953-1955) stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
