Earlene (Knapp) Stueck, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Atkins with Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating. Interment will be held at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday, at the church in Atkins.
Lonnie P. Ollendieck
Lonnie P. Ollendieck, 55, of LaPorte City, died Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 9, 1967, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth J. and Dalene R. (Reinhart) Ollendieck. Lonnie graduated from Dysart-Geneseo High School in 1985. Then he attended Hawkeye Community College, studying Farm Business Management.
Vincent “Mike” Pettinger
Vincent “Mike” Pettinger, 91, passed away December 29, 2022 at his home in West Branch. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in West Branch on January 21 at 11:00 AM with a lunch following in the church basement.Mike was born September 25, 1931, in Cumberland, Iowa, the son of Gene and Helen Pettinger. He attended elementary school in a one-room schoolhouse, Union 7, and graduated from Cumberland High School in 1949.
Rosemary “Rosie” (Rodenhofer) Mangold
Rosemary “Rosie” (Rodenhofer) Mangold, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.Rosie was born on August 19, 1940, in Tuscaloosa, AL the daughter of Ernest and Mary Ida (Godfrey) Rodenhofer. In 1973, she was united in marriage to Leo C. Mangold at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Rosie chose to donate her body to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine for scientific study.
