Surrounded by his loving family, James “Jim” “Pappy” Osborn, Jr., 63, died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at his home. There will be no services. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.Jim was born September 9, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, the son of James and Kaye (Wright) Osborn Sr. He attended school in Toddville and Alburnett. A long-time resident of Oelwein, Iowa, Ruth Staton, age 91, died peacefully following a battle with cancer on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at her home in Olathe, Kansas with family at her side. Ruth was born February 27, 1932, in Oelwein, the daughter of Peter J. and Mary C. (Vesh) Vela. In 1950, she graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Oelwein and Mercy School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids in 1953. Barbara Jo Buck

Larry Allen Weems July 7, 1937 - July 6, 2023 Larry Allen Weems, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2023. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on July 7, 1937, to Clara and Ralph Weems.
