Iowa Speedway to host NASCAR Cup Series race in 2024

By Robin OpsahlThe Iowa Speedway in Newton will host a NASCAR Cup Series race in 2024, Gov. Kim Reynolds and NASCAR officials announced Tuesday.Reynolds was joined by NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Rusty Wallace, who designed the Iowa Speedway, current Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski and officials with the auto racing company outside the State Capitol in Des Moines for the announcement.

The VSU Swim team competed in Boone last night. They faced some strong teams but Vinton-Shellsburg held their own where they could! The team came away with two relays and two individual finishes at 3rd place and some good support points behind those as well.
