The Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette varsity volleyball program's winningest coach, Michelle Stepanek has resigned after 24 seasons (1994-2007, 2012-21) at the helm of the program.

An old tradition is returning for race fans of The Bullring.What used to be an annual event to kick off the season at Benton County Speedway, the annual car show on the streets of downtown Vinton is making its return.

Vikette basketball team finishes 15-9 (7-5 WaMaC West)As Rich Haisman entered his third season as the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikette basketball head basketball varsity head coach, the Vikettes had compiled back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2003-04 and 2004-05.
