Walter Dale Cook, 87, of Walker, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point, Iowa, assisted the family.Walter was born July 6, 1936, in rural Palo, Iowa, the son of Harold and Delores (Rouse) Cook. James Charles Chekal, 89, passed away on Monday, February 5. A resident of Belle Plaine, Iowa, James was born on February 14, 1934, to James Chekal and Ella Bayzn.James obtained an associate's degree through the Air Force. From January 1954 to February 1974, he worked on ground support equipment that maintained aircraft. He also owned and operated Jim's appliance until his retirement. Wanda Carleen Campbell
Wanda Carleen Campbell, 70, of Vinton, Iowa, formerly of Central City, Iowa, passed peacefully into eternity in her sleep on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab in Vinton. After many years of a brave and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, Wanda is now “out of her own little world and back into the lives of others!” A private celebration of life will be held later. Ramona Jean Boeckmann, 90, of La Porte City, died Saturday, February 10, 2024, at La Porte City Specialty Care. She was born June 23, 1933, in Iowa, daughter of Walter and Adelia (Knief) Eickelberg.
