Trinity Healthshare Inc. Agrees to Consent Order; Will Cease Operating in Iowa
The Iowa Insurance Division today announced that Trinity Healthshare Inc. (now known as Sharity Ministries, Inc.) has agreed to a consent order that says Trinity will cease operations in Iowa on June 30, 2021, following charges that were filed against Trinity Healthshare Inc. and The Aliera Companies in 2020.“While Trinity has denied the allegations, it has agreed to cease operations in Iowa.
Vinton Municipal Electric Utilities forgives $180,000 due to under billing
At this month's VMEU Board meeting, the utility board voted 4 to 1, with Rich Hainstock voting no to forgive around $180,000 in unpaid electric bills. It was discovered that for several years, at least 8 larger businesses in town were not billed appropriately for electricity. The utility will be doing meter readings on other businesses in town to make sure there isn't an issue with others.
County to create Human Resource Position
On Tuesday, Benton County took steps to create a new position for the county. The position would be a Human Resource director. It would be a full-time position with a proposed salary between 65 and 75 thousand a year.The job description has not been decided, but it would include things like dealing with personnel conflicts, union negotiations, insurance issues, updating the employee handbook, making sure that the county is up-t0-date on laws.
