Dennis Frye, age 69, died Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home in rural Keystone.Private family services will be held, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, rural Keystone.Dennis was born on March 26, 1956 in Yankton, South Dakota, the son of Herbert and Nadine (Wysuph) Frye. He was united in marriage to Barbara Hardesty on January 30, 1982 in Iowa City.

Jean Helen (Garbers) Kubu passed away peacefully on April 28th, 2025.Jean was born to parents Henry and Geraldine Garbers of Van Horne, IA. She graduated from Van Horne Consolidated High School in 1962 where she was a member of the 1962 Iowa State Champion Girls Basketball Team.Jean attended Drake University in Des Moines, IA and the University of Minnesota studying Secretarial and Coaching Sports Management.

Hermsen, 64, of Dyersville, Iowa passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester, Iowa.Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa.  Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9 – 10 a.m. at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home prior to funeral services.

Glenn John Frederich Drahn, 95, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away May 6, 2025 at the Belle Plaine Specialty Care, Belle Plaine, IA.Glenn was born December 31, 1929 to Glender Arthur and Irene Anne (Williamson) Drahn in Monona, IA. He graduated from Elkader High School, class of 1947. On July 10, 1949 Glenn was united in marriage to Elaine Julia Broessel at the United Methodist Church, Monona, IA.

Janice Mary Duncalf, 86, of Newhall, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 4, 2025.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Newhall with Father Jacob Dunne officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

Bertha M. (Motto) Pohlmann, age 90, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen K. Preus officiating.  A reception will follow at the church.  Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, with full military honors, at 1:15 PM.

David Lee Fisher

David Lee Fisher, 82, passed away, Monday, April 28, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids. No service will be held. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family. David was born December 14, 1942, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Blanche (Drahos) Fisher. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School and served his country honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Monticello during Vietnam.
